• Question: Could we colonize mars and somehow create an atmosphere that could host the human race after earth as been destroyed.

      Creating an atmosphere probably isn’t possible. It’s smaller than earth so can’t hold on to the air as well and the same would happen if we tried to impose an atmosphere. If we were going to colonize mars it would have to be self contained buildings or something.

      and if we could live there after the world was destroyed rather depends on how the world got destroyed in the first place.

      An atmosphere like the one we have would disappear immediately from Mars due to its gravity, and it would be too cold anyway.
      We have a beautiful planet, let’s stop destroying it instead of keeping the illusion that there is somewhere else to go!

      Mars has a rocky surface so it would be possible to build building there which we could use. But as far as we know there is no water on Mars, and all forms of life that we know need water to survive, so it’s very hard to see how we would be able to live long term on Mars. It would be pretty much impossible to carry all the water we need to Mars from the Earth.
