• Question: Could we occupy any other planet in the near future?

      possibly, but it would be very expensive and not really worth. We could occupy the moon probably with current technology, but what for? let’s take care of the beautiful planet we have, without destroying it as we are slowly doing!

      If we devoted a lot of time and money to it, possibly. It depends how near you mean. We haven’t even sent people to another planet yet (the moon doesn’t count). I agree with Mario though. Right now there are more important things we could be doing, like taking care of our own planet.

      We probably could build a base on the Moon, or on Mars (although we haven’t been there yet). But it would be very hard to live there long term. Neither the moon nor mars have any liquid water, and we know that water is essential for our lives.
      There might be other planets in our universe that could have liquid water, but they are too far away for us to travel there in a human life time.
