I always liked science at school. I was more into physics right from the start, but I liked the practicle bits of the others. Chemistry is always fun when you can blow something up! I loved doing the disection bits in biology as well. I was one of the three people in my class of thirty willing to touch the sheep’s eyeball. I stabbed it a little too hard though and it jumped up and hit a vegetarian… she didn’t like that too much.

The bits I didn’t like was when you just had to learn facts. It’s getting all the rules and being able to work it out yourself that facinates me, which is why I’m more of a physicist.

I always liked science, and I enjoyed the fun bits in school. I liked doing practical things, and I liked how everything was connected together by maths. How you could use maths to explain stuff. There’s always a bit of boring studying involved in learning anything, and I was never a fan of that, but you need to learn the boring stuff too so that you can understand the more cool interesting stuff. I’ve always found that it’s worth it in the end 🙂

I quite liked biology and chemistry but didn’t enjoy physics too much. But physics at uni is well worth the effort – it gets much better!

I liked science at school, but I didn’t like doing experiments – they always broke! I liked maths as well, so I went to university to do maths and then I found out that you can be a scientist without having to do experiments. Now I love what I do!
