      it is almost impossible to work alone in today’s experimental physics, in particular particle physics

      For some things I prefer to work alone, but it’s always better when you work with other people (and in modern science you can’t help but work with other people).

      I like working with other people, it’s really useful to be able to talk over new ideas with them, and it helps you spot when you’ve done something wrong as well.

      It depends what I’m doing. A lot of what I do is kind of both. We work in a big group of people, but each has an individual task that we complete on our own and at the end it all comes together ino the big picture.
