From what? From elements, you put oxygen and hydrogen together.

There are loads of ways to make water. Lots of chemical reactions make water. My favourite way to make water is to burn hydrogen gas: when you burn hydrogen gas the hydrogen (H) joins with oxygen (O) in the air to make water (H2O). It also makes a loud bang too!

Water is made of molecules which have two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. To force these atoms together to make water molecules you need a chemical reaction like the one ben describes.

Two hydrogens and an oxygen. Most compounds that have either will usually react with something with the other in to form water.
