While global warming is definity happening, we don’t know for certain what’s causing it. Chances are it is in large part due to human interference but there could be other things mixed in as well, like solar flares. That said it’s a good idea to reduce CO2 emissions etc and our general mistreatment of the environment.

We need to reduce, reuse and recycle. In that order. Never get more than we need, don’t buy a phone just because it’s new when the old one is fine that kind of thing. Reuse what you can and then recycle as much as you can of what’s left . Personally I’m trying to reduce the amount of meat I eat, it’s actually a huge source of green house gases.

I’m also a big supporter of nuclear power. A coal burning plant actually produces more nuclear waste than a nuclear plant.

I don’t think there is an easy way to stop global warming. I think we will probably need lots of small changes including new sources of power that aren’t fossil fuels, new technologies that are more energy efficient, and people changing their behavious so that we use less energy.

we have to eat less meat, and burn less oil; both will happen anyway since oil is quickly running out, but we have to be ready for the transition to a carbon-free economy, and not destroy the planet with craziness like shale oil or tar sands.
