I’m quite used to mine by now and like it. And being so short it doesn’t cause any problems in other languages which is convenient when meeting new people around the world!
everybody thinks Mario is the typical Italian name (apart from being a famous videogame); it is not that true (at least any more): there are indeed very few Italians called Mario, at least young ones! so, even if everybody knows it, it is actually very rare! Also, it is one of the very few names not coming after a saint, but from a Roman consul, and even quite a good one!
I like my name, but I don’t like that there are so many ways to spell it. Sometimes people write Claire and sometimes Clair. But I only answer to Clare!
