there is friction between our feet and the road, due to the fact that neither of them is perfectly flat, you do not need tyres for that!

There’s always friction between your feet, or your shoes or your car tyres and the road. This is what helps us all to move. If there’s no friction then you would just slip and slide all over the place (this is what happens on ice, where there’s very little friction). The faster you go the more friction you need to be able to turn corners, this is why car tyres have more friction that the soles of your feet.

Friction is what lets you walk without slipping over, giving you grip and something to push against. Even though your shoes have more grip, you feet still have some friction on the floor.
