• Question: what would happen if half your brain died? would you just die or would you still be able to live for a bit?-

      There are people who’ve had half their brains removed or severly damaged. They always have some major mental problems, but they still function as human beings.

      It depends which parts of your brain stopped working. If the parts that control your heart and your breathing were still working you would probably be able to carry on living. We still don’t know very much yet about how the brain works, and which parts of your brain do what. But some people manage to have good lives, even with quite a bit of damage to their brains.

      people can survive with half-damaged brains, and actually these people are studied to understand how the brain works.
