The current plan is to buy a telescope that local schools can borrow to run their own astronomy clubs.

I thought it would be useful to help fund/co-fund trips to visit laser labs in Oxfordshire, as there are several quite spectacular ones around the University here and at Research Laboratories.

Check out my profile kids, the answers are all there 😉

In short, I’d set up a website so that schools could contact scientists at CERN. Lots of scientists at CERN would like to share their work with the public and get people interested in science, and this website would let them do that.

I am writing a book about particle physics and Cern, and I would use part of the money to support and help diffuse it. Also I would like to create an interactive platform (a web site, but also smartphone apps, for instance), about the history of science, the way we got to the present understanding of physics and fundamental laws. I see it as a sort of game, with historical as well as conceptual paths.
