Do you mean how do we turn our eyes? There are muscles all around the eye and at the back of the socket that move the eyeball around so that the bit that sees can point in the right directionl

You can move your eyes because there are muscles in your head that move your eyes about. If you can move your eyes side-to-side really fast (a lot faster than anyone else) so that it looks like your eyes are vibrating, then that is something to do with you genes (genetics). It’s something you’re born with. Only a few people can do it (I’m one of those people too!).

As for why we were born with this ability, I have no idea. I think it just means we have very good eye muscles!

We can move our eyes because it’s means you can see a bigger area with out having to move your body. This will have been very useful in the past for hunting and spotting predators and so gave us an evolutionary advantage.
