• Question: did your mum/dad take a interest in science or are you just naturally gifted with the art if science???

      I think my parents are both interested in science, my Dad has been reading up on what I do and asking me lots of questions recently. Although sometimes my Mum thinks that the things I study are silly!
      My parents were always really supportive of me wanting to be a scientist.

      no, my mother was a maths teacher, and that may have influenced my relative ease at school with maths, but they have no specific interest in science

      My dad was an engineer and my bro is a computing expert. My mum though is more of an English and Art person. She always gets this glazed look whenever we start going all science on her. She likes science though. She’s just not terribly good at it. I always try explaining stuff to her.
