• Question: Do you study nuclear fusion were you work?

      CERN is not directly involved in any use of nuclear energy. However the Iter project in the south of France is completely dedicated to the study of nuclear fusion, and there is a lot of exchange of technology and expertise (and often also personnel) between the two laboratories.

      No, in my group we study how the universe evolves, and try to understand what the universe is made up of.

      No. I work with the astronomy department. The practical physicists all work in a differnet part of the building and I’m never sure what they’re doing. It all looks like voodoo to me.
