My specific project costs enough to pay the people working on it, and to send them to conferences and observing trips. The Herschel telescope that we use, however, cost 10 billion euros. Giant space telescopes ain’t cheap.

The whole lot? Hard to say, probably somewhere north of a couple of million a year for our group.
We only see/spend a very small fraction of that of course, but if you include the costs of all the experimental facilities we use to governments and research councils, thats the ballpark figure you’d end up with.
