Saturn is a gas giant, so its made up from mainly a mixture of Helium and Hydrogen. Towards the core, the pressure and temperature increase and we think the hydrogen turns metallic. The core itself is probably composed of heavier elements, like iron, nickel and rock – silicon and oxygen, like on Earth.

It’s a gas giant so Hydrogen and helium. The core has to be denser to make up the mass, so people think it’s etiher rock or iron or similar.

Saturn is mostly made of gas, but we think that deep inside it has a solid core made of metals and rock.
