I don;t work in a lab. I have an office in Cardiff (Wales rather than England) and I sometimes go to observatories all over the world. My main telescope is in space though, so that’s hard to visit!

Mainly labs with big lasers: the Rutherford Appleton Lab near Didcot, Oxfordshire is the only in the UK though. Some of the many others are in France (LULI in Paris), Germany (DESY in Hamburg), USA (SLAC near San Francisco), …

I don’t work in a lab. I work in an office and I use equations and computers to try to understand how our universe can be behaving in the way that it is.

I work at Cern, on the Swiss-French border, and also at UCL, in the centre of London, but that’s clearly a university not a lab!
