• Question: when lightning hits the sea why dont all the fish die?

      because the amount of electric charge in a lightning is very small compared to the size of the sea, so it gets very much diluted

      Yup. Near the strike a few fish do get fried, but mostly they just get a little stunned for a while. The amount of charge in a strike is huge, but it’s spread out over the whole ocean, so it’s not that much.
