• Question: Why is there suffering and death?

      things wear away the longer they’re around. It’s true for bacteria, animals, mountains even stars. Eventually it gets to the state where it can’t carry on anymore and the thing ‘dies’.

      Suffering though, that’s something only humans comprehend, something we created in our minds.

      Nothing in our universe can last forever, even stars die. Human bodies are the same, they can only last for a limited amount of time.
      I think suffering happens because we can’t control our world. We can’t stop earthquakes, or make it rain where we want. Also because food, and minerals and power aren’t spread evenly around the world, there are wars when people don’t think things are fair.
      We can try to do as much as we can, though, to stop other people from suffering and to help them when they are.
