Question: why would you use the money for that when you can already writ a website

because writing a good website requires a lot of time and dedication, and perhaps the help of someone else. I am currently paid to do science, not to do science vulgarisation, so I can’t justify to my university the fact that I spend a lot of time doing that, unless some external funding can be used, for instance, to reduce my teaching load.
